10 Gauge Choke Sizes
The table above lists the choke sizes for standard 10 gauge shotguns from least constrictive to most constrictive (cylinder to turkey). Cylinder is the least restrictive 10 gauge choke size at 0.775″. It is followed by Improved Cylinder (0.768″), Modified (0.758″), Full (0.740″), and Turkey (0.730″).
10 gauge shotguns have the largest diameter chokes used for hunting, with the exception being some backbored 12 gauge shotguns. Larger bore diameters allow for heavier payloads to pass through and require choke tubes made specifically for 10 gauge shotguns. Shotguns in 10 gauge are most commonly used for long range waterfowl and turkey hunting.
